Morning arrival at Ahmedabad Railway station / Airport,
transfer to hotel. After freshening-up, local sightseeing and
Lunch: Gandhi Ashram, Akshardham in Gandhinagar, Sidi Sayyid
Mosque, Hutheesing Temple, Adalaj Step Well, Handicraft & Handloom
Bazaar (Law Garden). Dinner and overnight at Hotel - Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad.

| Day - 2: |
Early breakfast and depart for Zainabad (110
kms) the Wild Ass Sanctuary. The wild ass is to be found only
in Gujarat. Its sanctuary covers around 5,000 sq.km in the Little
Rann of Kutch. One can view the panther, blackbuck, bull, wild
boar, wolf and number of other animals, birds and reptiles are
also found here. Zainabad is known for Desert Coursers - self
contained huts for a true Rann experience. Dinner and overnight
at Hotel - Zainabad.

Early breakfast and depart for Dholavira (365
kms - packed lunch) enroute to Bhuj. Dholavira in Kutch district
is a massive site belonging to the Mohenjo-daro Harappan civilization.
It shows the hydraulic engineering skills of the Harappans who
converted the city walls into veritable reservoirs to preserve
every drop of water. On the present showing, it is one of the
two largest settlements in India and the fourth largest in the
subcontinent. Of special interest to students of history is
a signboard in Indus script, claimed to be one of the oldest
in the world. Witness an unbelievable mirage during your drive
from Dholavira to Bhuj, the earth merges with the sky. Truly
a spectacular experience! Dinner and overnight at Hotel - Bhuj.

After breakfast half day tour of Bhuj: Hamirsar
Lake, Bhujia Fortress, Pragmal Palace, Aina Mahal, Sharad Bagh
Palace. Shopping at Bhujodi a famous handicrafts center where
women turn out fascinating designs. The Mutwa and Rabari embroidery
shows the pastoral lifestyle of the people. Proceed to Mandvi
Beach (56 kms). The beach presents a tranquil atmosphere where
one can enjoy oneself. Dinner and overnight at Hotel - Mandvi.

Full day beach recreational activities
at Mandvi beach. Vijay Vilas Palace is noted for its royal décor.
Another attraction of the place is Hawa Mahal built in the traditional
Rajasthani style. If time permits one can visit Narayan Sarovar,
Koteshwar and Lakhpath Fort the western most point of India.
The Karachi port lies opposite it. On a clear night the lights
of Karachi could be seen, the sarovar is one of the four sacred
lakes of the country. Stay at Hotel - Mandvi.

Early breakfast and depart for Rajkot
(275 kms) via Morbi the pretty riverside town was the capital
of a wealthy princely state developed by Thakore Saheb Waghaji
into one of the wealthiest in Saurashtra. Today, the town is
famous for its clocks, tiles and ceramics. Museum of Dramatic
Arts, Wag Palace, Darbargadh, Zanana Palace is worth visiting.
The town gate is a miniature of the Eiffel Tower. Dinner and
overnight at Hotel.

7: |
Early breakfast and depart for Ahmedabad
(225 kms) via Lothal a well known Indus Valley Civilisation
site. It is noted for its dockyard which is used to permit ships
to go to the open sea carrying merchandise from this part of
the world, perhaps to the Gulf and Mesopotamia. The inscription
speaks of the land of the rising sun and elephants. Dinner/Stay
at Hotel.
